Cloud Warrior, the first book in The Amtrak Wars by Patrick Tilley, is an amazing buried classic. An old school sci-fi set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic Earth, a must-read for any sci-fi fan.
What I like ✅ wonderfully combines Native American culture into a post-apocalyptic world
✅ plenty of unanswered questions which make the reader want more
✅ interesting and original setting and characters combined with creative technology
What I didn't like ✖ plotline threads which get forgotten (namely Roz)
✖ writing style is a little weak in places
✖ the magic system isn't fully realised or explained Rating 4.5/5🌟 Verdict
