What I like ✅ engaging, descriptive, beautiful prose

✅ an interesting ensemble cast of characters

What I didn't like ✖ not enough focus on established protagonists, Lessa and F'lar
✖ the plot ambles as the characters get weighed down with the day-to-day tasks of maintaining a weyr and thread-fighting
✖ the nuances of weyr-life can be disturbing; normalising rape and domestic violence
